The Rolex 24 in 2026 Experience

Rolex 24 2026

The Daytona Rolex 24 Hour race has concluded with Porsche Penske Winning, but that is not what I am reporting. I am writing because of my Infield experience during the race which was great. It led me to see the hour 6 crash which involved an LMP2 (Le Mans Prototype 2) car and a GTD Pro (Gran Tour Dayton PRO) car. I am used to being up in the grandstands on the start finish line so, it was weird to see the cars in front and behind you. Being up on the camper was fun. Overall, I would highly recommend trying to be up in a camper and see and hear the views.

The grandstands are also not bad too. They provide amazing views and sounds of the Track (image above). The Grandstands treasure amazing views of the track at night, especially when the brakes glow. You can also get great views of the flyovers before the race; this year it was F-35’s. One fun fact about the grandstands is that they are so big that the designers had to account for nine inches of height due to the curvature of the Earth. Personally, I am more used to being able to see all the action from the grandstands. This makes me like them better than the infield. In summary, I like the grandstands more, but both views offer great sights and sounds.

A Trip to Dubai

My Trip to  Dubai

By Ishaan

For Christmas break my parents and I decided to go to Dubai where most of my family lives. On December 18, 2025, our flight took off in the night, it was the first of two flights to Dubai. The first flight was only a two and a half hour flight to Newark and the next flight was a fourteen hour flight all the way to Dubai. Once we arrived in Dubai it was about 8 p.m. at night. My parents and I got into an Uber and drove to the hotel. Sadly, because of the time difference we were wide awake, but once we got into the bed we knocked out cold.

The next day, we woke up very late, which meant we only had a little bit of daylight left so we decided to go to the second biggest mall in the world, the Dubai Mall. Once we entered the mall it was like walking into Disney World with thousands of shops, hundreds of restaurants, and a million people. The first thing we did was go and get some chai which is tea in Hindi. Then we went shopping to get my aunties, uncles, and cousins some gifts. Afterwards, we explored the different sites of the mall like the ice rink and other amazing stuff. We walked outside to see the Burj Kalfai and the fountain show outside which is the biggest fountain show in the world, later  ate some dinner, and hit the hay.

The next day was my favorite day because we got to go in UTVS to explore the sand dunes of the UAE. At around 3 p.m. the taxi came to pick us up and drove over to the dunes. Before arriving at the dunes, the driver made a quick stop at a place where we could grab some water and use the bathroom. We bought a traditional mask that the Arabs wore. Since I am twelve years old, I got to drive my own vehicle which was so much fun. After that we went to something called the Global Village, which is where Dubai made a mini park for each country in the world which was amazing. This is one of my favorite places in the whole world to explore.

A Special Birthday Trip

My Birthday Trip

By Addison

Imagine celebrating your birthday surrounded by the ocean, with relaxing breezes and a wave of music and laughter. This is exactly how I felt on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia Of The Seas. Let me tell you about this amazing birthday trip!

This trip consisted of three days heading to the Bahamas and Coco Kay. This ship had so many fun things to do like zip lining and rock climbing, and I had the best time. I celebrated with my best friend and her cousins, which made the cruise extra fun. They also had a Central Park and a Boardwalk, which had lots of restaurants and stores. There was even a candy shop and  carousel on the Boardwalk.

I especially don’t want to forget about the shows. Those included an aqua show where there were a ton of insane water tricks and high diving. Also, an ice show with professional ice skaters. There was also a laser show and a silent dance party as well. Then, there was a music hall that had a bar with live music at night and a walking area with a bunch of stores and restaurants. Overall, I had the best birthday weekend and I’m so happy and grateful that I went.

A Trip to Peru

A Trip to Peru with National Geographic

By Lucas

I began my trip with a long airplane ride to Lima, Peru. When we arrived we drove an hour to a homemade lunch with their culture food which was very good. After many more hikes that day, we ended the day with a quaint hotel that were like mini homes. We stayed there and hiked for three days. When we were about to leave for another town in Peru we stopped at a local village. We noticed  that many women were using the natural environment as resources.

It was cool until we arrived to Machu Picchu Town, and specifically to Huayna Picchu. We traveled via a train with a 360* view of wild life. After sleeping a night, the next morning we started our journey to Machu Picchu. The path there was very intense and interesting. It was just a bus driver with our lives in his hands. After a long four hour Machu Picchu tour, we headed back to the train station to go to the Amazon Rainforest, or so we thought. The train got delayed because the train before us got into an accident that had two trains collide on a single lane track. We were all lucky that we weren’t on that train. Because of the delay, we had to stay another night at Machu Picchu town.

The next morning we headed to the train station to finally go to the Amazon Rainforest with a National Geographic guide. After arriving at a spot to get there we got on a boat that was three hours to the cabins in the middle of the rainforest. The food there was amazing, we had a mid-day hike and a hike in the middle of the night. During these hikes we saw many creatures, such as; walking stick bugs, sloths, bats, and many more. During the sleep, we had no air conditioning and no enclosed place, we had to put double layered nets to keep the bugs off for the next few days. On our way back we took the same boat ride and bus ride to the airport. We took off to a hotel. We spent our first day there and we had our last supper there. The next day we woke up at 4am in the hotel to go home, we were very lucky because it was a direct flight to Orlando. Overall, this trip to Peru with National Geographic was an amazing experience.

Study Tips

Study Tips

By: Aryan

We all feel the pressure going into the second semester, so here are some tips to get ahead on your assignments and make studying easier. First, use a calendar to keep track of your assignments. Luckily, if you use Canvas, you have one built in, but if not, it is recommended to plot all due dates on a calendar. Secondly, use your free time. There is always a bit of extra time you can manage during the school day, so instead of talking to your friends or playing games, get started on an assignment. You’ll be more likely to come back once you start. Another trick is to complete assignments as soon as you can. This will free up more time for more important things in the future. If you wait, you will have too many assignments to manage and get stressed out.

One study tip to use is to listen to music without lyrics. This will keep you from getting bored and stimulate the brain. Music with words will just distract you. Another study tip is to pretend you are teaching the material to students. Explain the material in your own words, and you will recollect your knowledge when it really matters.

Before we end, let’s talk about study groups or partners. Sometimes study partners can help you go over more material, but most times they can distract you. Only study with partners if they won’t distract you. Hopefully, you will find the tips helpful. Good luck with the second semester!

A Winter Break Trip

Telluride

By Ethan

I awoke at 3:30am to get ready for a big day of travel. We had to fly from Orlando, to Dallas, then to Montrose, and finally drive to Telluride. We traveled with a group of friends who knew people in the area.

Once in Telluride, we tiredly checked into our hotel room where we would stay for the next three days. The room had a loft, full kitchen, living room, and a downstairs area. We planned on going skiing, but there wasn’t enough snow and the ski patrol was on strike. The three days went by fast and after that we went to a remote ranch in  the mountains. It was a massive  ranch with ATVs, UTVs, and  lots of other cool things. The ranch was massive and we had a lot of fun.

Finally, we said our goodbyes to the people we were staying with, gathered our things and headed home. The time change and plane flights were exhausting and by the time we got home it was 11:00pm. Overall, I had a great winter trip.

Orlando Magic News

Your Magic News Today, November 10-14! Brought to you by Livvy

Are you an Orlando Magic fan? Well, I am. I have been a fan since 2022. When I first started watching and attending games, the big rookie was the number one draft pick, Paulo Banchero. I’ve also had season passes to all of the Magic home games since 2022.. My current favorite players on the team are Jalen Suggs and Anthony Black. This season, the Magic has not been doing too great so far. Paulo is playing differently because he is not being trained correctly. Even though he still averages about 30 points per game, he is missing quite a few outside of the paint and is struggling to make threes. However, we have acquired a new player, Desman Bane, who last night led us to victory with a game-winning shot against the Trail Blazers. Currently, we are tied for tenth place in our conference with the Boston Celtics. We had a powerful win against them on Friday, but a disappointing loss against them on Sunday. It’s a few days later, and in a game I believe two nights ago, Franz had a hard hit to the face while trying to pick up a rebound and now has a broken nose. Even through the pain, he managed to play with an impressive 28 points against the Knicks last night. Unfortunately, while playing the Knicks, Paulo walked off the court with a left groin injury and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the game. We are currently still in tenth place but no longer tied with the Boston Celtics due to their loss against the 76ers. Well, that’s all for this week. Go catch the game Friday against the Brooklyn Nets, then be back next Thursday for your new weekly update. Go Magic!

Best Tech Deals in Time for the Holiday Season

Best Tech Deals and Gifts of 2025

By Andrew

Laptops

First, the best deal and best laptop of 2025 is the Apple MacBook Air M4. Customers say that it is “It’s snappy, has a great screen, and all day battery” (Garret via Amazon reviews). Not only is it the best all-in-one laptop it is also on sale right now (Nov 11) on Amazon for only $799.99, making it an amazing deal right now. The other recommendable laptop is the Dell XPS 13. Another Amazon reviewer claims that “It was worth every penny and [he was] so glad [he] was able to start college with such a good computer. Starting at $1,588, it is also a good recommendation for 2025 laptops.

Headphones

The best headphones of 2025 are the Sony WH-1000XM6. The Sony WH-1000XM6 have the best noise-cancelling headphones in 2025. Also, at the starting price of $199.99, it is the easiest recommendation of 2025, unless you own the AirPods Pro 3. The AirPods Pro 3 also have some of the best noise cancellation that you can buy. Highly praised, they are priced at $249.99, and they are hard to beat.

Phones

You would think that I would say the iPhone 17 Pro Max is the best. Well, it isn’t. The biggest problem with the 17 Pro Max is that it is made of aluminum. The problem with aluminum is that it gets dented from a 1-foot fall. People have experienced many dents and chips in the paint and the main body of the Phone. This only makes it the second-best phone of 2025. The best is the Samsung Z Fold 7. Not only does it work as a phone, it also folds into a tablet.
